Good morning, backers!
Here we are at four days into the Kickstarter, and we’re 76% funded for The Horror at Pooh Corner! You are all amazing, and we here at Hemelein appreciate your support for this fun and quirky little project. If we continue at this rate (about $2100 per day on average), we’ll reach our main funding goal by the end of the first week! Thank you so much!
Once we reach that goal (and I am confident we we will), we have our stretch goals already laid out:
- $15,001 – The Kickstarter edition of the trade paperback and the ebook will have custom, brand new cover artwork by Jessica Douglas that is different from the standard editions released to the general public.
- $17,001- We’ll commission a new map of the Hundred Acre Wood by Meredith Dillman incorporating content from the stories in the anthology, and all of the contributing authors will be paid $0.10/word!
- $21,001 – We’ll commission a series of black and white spot illustrations by Leila May—inspired by E. H. Shepard’s original illustrations—to go along with the stories, and all of the contributing authors for The Horror at Pooh Corner will be paid a lucky $0.13/word.
- $24,001 – An audiobook version of The Horror at Pooh Corner will be created and made available as an add-on (possible as a pledge level, too). The audiobook will be narrated by Benjamin Fife.
I really want to get that audiobook produced, so here’s what you can do to help us keep the signal strong and growing:
- Keep spreading the word.
- Share the information for the Kickstarter with your friends, online and offline.
- If you see an update, reply with a comment on the update and then share the update on social media.
- Post in the comments here on the Kickstarter itself (this helps keep us on the main page of Kickstarter).
- Like any posts about the update you see.
You’ve already done an amazing job so far by bouncing the signal far and wide, and I know you’ll continue to do so. Thank you again for your support and backing so far. All of the participating authors are amazing, and I know you’re going to love the stories they write for the anthology. All of them have expressed excitement about writing their stories. They really believe in this little anthology, and we appreciate you believing in it as well.
Thank you!
