UtahSF Annual Best

UtahSF Annual Best is an annual anthology of the best short science fiction, fantasy, alternate history, and light horror published in a given year by Utah speculative fiction writers. If you know of a story that should be considered for inclusion, point the author at this page and encourage them to submit it for consideration. The series editor is to be determined.

The first anthology will include stories first published in 2023.

  2. Must be science fiction, fantasy, alternate history, or light horror.
  3. Flash fiction is acceptable, as is poetry if it tells a story.
  4. Must have been first published (or published in a magazine with a cover date) between January 1 and December 31 of the eligible year.
  5. Story content must be no more than a soft PG-13. In other words, keep expletives, sexual content, and graphic violence to a minimum.
