A.D. McCormick (1860–1943) was born Coleraine, County Londonderry, Ireland on October 14, 1860. He attended the Royal College of Art in London from 1883-1886. He worked as an illustrator and painter for many different magazines and books, and was attached as a painter to Sir Martin Conway’s 1892 expedition to the Himalayas. He died in 1943.
