Bob Rehak has a B.A. in English, an M.A. in Communication Studies, and a Ph.D. in Communication and Culture. His nonfiction has appeared in Cinema Journal, Film Criticism, the Journal of Fandom Studies, Science Fiction Film and Television, Information, Communication and Society, The Video Game Theory Reader, Videogame/Player/Text, The Cybercultures Reader, Spreadable Media, and the Screen Decades and Behind the Silver Screen series.
He wrote More Than Meets the Eye: Special Effects and the Fantastic Transmedia Franchise, and co-edited Special Effects: New Histories/Theo-
ries/Contexts with Dan North and Michael S. Duffy. He currently teaches several different film, television, and genre classes at Swarthmore College.
