Charles G. Waugh

Dr. Charles G. Waugh was born in Philadelphia, PA, on July 18, 1943. After growing up in southern NJ and upstate NY, he obtained his B.S and M.A. from Syracuse University, and his Ph.D. from Kent State University.

A recovering college teacher of communication and psychology—after fifty-four years of college teaching—he retired as a professor of communication and psychology from the University of Maine at Augusta. He now devotes much of his time to producing books (mostly anthologies), something he began doing in 1978, and he will have surpassed 250 by October 2021.
The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction reports that “His taste in fiction is broad-church, and widely researched.” Author and critic John O’Neill (Blackgate.com) states he produces anthologies “. . .packed with wonderful stories.” And mystery writer Mike Grost, the author of the online A Guide to Classic Mystery and Detection, says “[his] anthologies . . . are terrific!”
