John Steckley is a retired community college instructor who began writing short stories upon his retirement in 2015. He has published twenty-seven nonfiction books plus one nonfiction book—Stories for Mia—on the subject of his four-year-old granddaughter’s imagined future life. The subject of most of his nonfiction books is usually the Wendat/Wyandot people, their language, culture, and history.
