Nephi Anderson

Nephi Anderson (22 January 1865 – 6 January 1923) was a prominent Utah novelist during what scholars call the “Home Literature” period of Latter-day Saint writing. He published ten novels, including the bestselling Added Upon (1898), which follows its characters from the premortal life to their final reward and can thus be regarded as the predecessor of the popular 1970s play Saturday’s Warrior. Anderson also wrote numerous short stories, poetry, essays, and a history of the Church for young people.
