Hemelein Publications is proud to announce the acquisition of Long Night: A Speculative History of World War II (working title), an alternate history novel by Sidewise Award-winning author Eric G. Swedin. Eric is a professor of history at Weber State University. His doctorate is in the history of science and technology. His publications include numerous articles, six history books, four science fiction novels, and a historical mystery novel. His novel, When Angels Wept: A What-If History of the Cuban Missile Crisis won the 2010 Sidewise Award for Alternate History. Eric lives with his family in a house built in 1881….

Tangent Online 2019 Recommended Reading List

Tangent Online has been reviewing short science fiction and fantasy for nearly three decades. Trace the Stars official final list of stories, submissions closed

It’s been great fun reading all of the submissions since issuing the call in November 2017. There were so many excellent entries that it was hard to select the ones that worked best for this space opera and hard science fiction anthology. We appreciate all of the authors who submitted stories for consideration to show their support of the mission of Life, the Universe, & Everything to help educate and hone new and existing writers.
