Call for Submissions: Parliament of Wizards

LTUE Benefit/Charity Anthology #4 – Parliament of Wizards Note: The call for submissions has been extended to May 30, 2020 due to COVID-19 disruptions. The call is now closed. Thank you for your submissions! Note 2: Due to COIVD-19 issues, we have slightly missed the September 1 deadline we set for ourselves for sending out acceptances and rejections for submissions. We should have those out by September 21. Thank you for your patience!. Since its beginnings in the early 1980s, the Life, the Universe, & Everything academic symposium has been a staple of the Utah and Intermountain West author and…

Twilight Tales update for November 2019

First of all, thank you to everyone who submitted stories to Twilight Tales. We were overwhelmed with the number of submissions we received (more than twice as many as for A Dragon and Her Girl). We also appreciate everyone’s patience while we worked through all of them. That process is complete now, and all of the acceptance and rejections letters have been sent (one for each story submitted, so those who submitted more than one story will receive more than one letter). If you submitted and have not seen a letter yet, please check your spam/junk folder in case your…

Call for Submissions: Twilight Tales

LTUE Benefit/Charity Anthology #3 – Twilight Tales Edit (16 August 2019): This call for submissions is closed. Since its beginnings in the early 1980s, the Life, the Universe, & Everything Symposium academic symposium has been a staple of the Utah and Intermountain West author and artist community. Many authors, artists, and editors found inspiration for their careers at the feet of scores of symposium guests. Influential professors and others have mentored those planning and running the symposium, but many of these mentors have passed on. The symposium helps students of all ages by providing greatly discounted student memberships. Hemelein Publications—in…

Trace the Stars official final list of stories, submissions closed

It’s been great fun reading all of the submissions since issuing the call in November 2017. There were so many excellent entries that it was hard to select the ones that worked best for this space opera and hard science fiction anthology. We appreciate all of the authors who submitted stories for consideration to show their support of the mission of Life, the Universe, & Everything to help educate and hone new and existing writers. All proceeds from this anthology go to support the mission of LTUE to allow students to attend for a greatly discounted price. Submissions are now…

Trace the Stars update for January 2018

The first batch of acceptances (and rejections) has been sent out for the Trace the Stars anthology. We are planning to have the anthology be around 100,000 words, and right now we are at about 78,000. If you have not yet submitted, please do so as soon as possible. While the submission period is open until July this year, it looks like that might have been too long a time as we have received so many submissions already. We will continue to consider submissions through the end of the submission period, but your story is more likely to be included…
