Don Wismer

Dr. Donald R. Wismer has been a State of Maine operative for over forty years, serving primarily in the Maine State Library and Department of Secretary of State. He is the co-editor of two science fiction anthologies with Charles Waugh (The Rivals of H. G. Wells and Killing London); the author of five science fiction novels (Starluck, Warrior Planet, Planet of the Dead, A Roil of Stars, and most recently, Lion in the Sky) and various shorter works.

His first book was the nonfiction The Islamic Jesus: An Annotated Bibliography of Sources in English and French (1977), still in print. He has been an Active Member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) since 1982, and is a 3rd degree black belt in karate. Among other venues, his stories have appeared in three of Charles’ other anthologies.
