Michaelene Pendleton regularly attended Life, the Universe, & Everything in the early days. Her works have been published in Omni, Asmiov’s, Amazing Stories, Fantasy & Science Fiction, Century, and Dragon Magazine, as well as in the Washed by a Wave of Wind and A Dragon and Her Girl anthologies. She had a passion for ancient Native American culture and archaeology from the Four Corners region of the American West, and co-wrote Canyon Country Prehistoric Indians: Their Cultures, Ruins, Artifacts and Rock Art (1979) with F.A. Barnes. She passed away on January 21, 2019.
