Owen Oliver

Owen Oliver (pseudonym of Sir Joshua Albert Flynn) was born September 15, 1863, in Sheerness, Kent, England. He was a British civil servant and prolific writer, active in various genres, who produced over 200 short stories under his pseudonym. Under his real name, he served as a senior civil servant under Lord Kitchener in South Africa, was knighted in 1919, and went on to hold several other important governmental positions. At the age of 70, he died in Streatham, England, on October 8, 1933.
