Steven L. Peck

Steven L. Peck is a professor of biology and is widely published in evolutionary ecology and philosophy of biology. Currently, he is working on studying the soundscape ecology of birds and insects. Peck is also an award-winning novelist, essayist, and poet, author of six novels and two books of poetry. He has won the Association for Mormon Letters (AML) Award for Novel twice and also AML’s Short Story Award twice. He grew up playing in the red-rock country around Moab, Utah where he learned to love nature and imaginative literature.
